Join Our Youth Tournament League

Last summer, Province Lake Golf sponsored a Youth Tournament League for area golfers aged 8 to 18 that was held Wednesday evenings, during July and August, and was free to all youth golfers who successfully completed an instructional clinic.

junior20golfers.jpgWe plan to continue the tournament schedule this year. Events will be broken into two (3) week sessions, and will be structured so that the youth golfers, grouped by age and experience, have an opportunity to compete in a variety of tournament formats - Stroke play, Stableford, and Two Ball - Best Ball.

There will be a limit to the number of spots in the clinics and the Tournament League, so interested persons are encouraged to call the pro shop and reserve their spot soon.

The instructional clinics will address the rules of golf, golf etiquette, and proper course maintenance. Each youth golfer will be charged a one time $10 fee, to be donated to area youth programs. The clinic fee may be waived in extreme hardship cases. The only requirements for entry into the Tournament League will be satisfactory completion of an instructional clinic and all participants must have their own clubs. Province Lake Golf will have starter sets available for sale during the weeks of the instructional clinics.

Province Lake Golf has long been recognized by local and national organizations as a strong supporter of youth and women's programs. In 2005, 2006 & 2007 Golf Digest's Golf for Women named Province Lake Golf as the No. 1 course in New England, and No. 39 in the United States, for women golfers.
