Update from PLG Management
What's Happening - April 2018
To our Members, our Guests, and our Neighbors,
It has and continues to be a long, cold and miserable winter at PLG… but… the future remains bright. The fire was devastating, but the outpouring of support from everyone was and continues to be overwhelming and a gift for which we will never be able to sufficiently thank you. You have made a difference in our lives… and the future of PLG… Thank you all.
The buildings cannot be duplicated, but they can be replaced, and they will be improved. We, as managers at PLG, have learned an important lesson as a direct consequence of the fire. Our biggest loss has been the displacement of the caring environment that our team had created… where everyone was welcomed to share and develop relationships with each other and with our community. That environment was not lost… but rather temporarily displaced.
The PLG team has begun to plan for the “new and improved” facilities at PLG. The site was released by the insurance company earlier this week, so we can now focus on contracting for the demolition and cleaning of the site… tough work ahead… lots of memories involved… but we must all remember that it is our first step forward to our future and the “next 100 years”.
